Different vehicles consume varying amounts of fuel, for example, a new bus will give better mileage than a used bus because the former has a brand new engine whereas the later’s engine has been in use for several years and may have less efficiency compared to newer vehicles and those that have more wear and tear during their use. Once owners and managers have a good idea of the fuel consumption of their vehicles, they will be in a better position to methodically cut down on fuel costs.
